Expanded Version With Bonus Footage
After the release of Jake Blues from prison, he and brother Elwood go to visit the orphanage where they were raised by nuns. They learn that the church stopped its support and will sell the place unless the tax on the property is paid within 11 days. The brothers decide to raise the money by putting their blues band back together and staging a big gig. They may be on a "mission from God" but they're making enemies everywhere they go.

Great movie. Great DVD. - 5 out of 5 (9/1/2002)
"The Blues Brothers" is one of the best 80's movies I have ever seen! The movie is comedy, action, and musical. If you have a DVD player, you must own this movie. I think you will not be disappointed.

The movie that killed Beliushi - 4.75 out of 5 (10/15/2000)
It is rumored the horrendously poor showing of this film was the reason
for Belushi's bender that resulted in his death. Ironic that it is now accepted as
one of the greatest comedies ever made.
Amazing showing of the greatest entertainers of this century, Cab Calloway, Aretha
Franklin, John Lee Hooker, James Brown etc. Even though its on TNT every weekend
get the DVD, the full film is better, plus no commercials.
